Get the most out of it

Prompting, sourcing, assembly, typography.

Ralleh Poster works best when you feed it real context and let it be strict with you. Eight field-tested patterns.

• A. Give it a real brief.

  Event title, exact date, venue, genre, and a one-line emotional register ("intimate solo", "sweaty club night", "Sunday market") — ready before Stage 1. The workflow refuses to proceed without them. Vague briefs are the #1 cause of slop.

• B. Pick a template.

  The five templates in §4 (Swiss Minimalist, Vintage Screenprint, Bold Woodcut, Modern Abstract, Retro-Futurism) are the shortest path to a strong plate. Tell the LLM: use TEMPLATES §2, swap palette to X/Y/Z. Anti-slop language is inherited.

• C. Source references first.

  Stage 2 is research. Point the LLM at Wolfgang's Vault, Fillmore poster archives, Reid Miles Blue Note covers, Swiss Design Archive, Cooper Hewitt, or your own mood board. Upload 2–5 refs. Reference-grounded posters beat imagination-only every time.

• D. Assemble from parts.

  The strongest workflow is Method A: generate a textless background plate, then compose type in Figma, Affinity, or Canva. You get kerning, contrast, and hierarchy the model can't. Reserve Method B (baked-in text) for Ideogram and headlines ≤8 words.

• E. Constrain palette by name.

  Never say "blue". Say Midnight Navy #142035, Warm Ochre #C28832, Off-White Cream #F5EFE0. Diffusion models honour named hex triplets far more faithfully than color words. Max 4 colors including background.

• F. Typography is architecture.

  Plan the type before the plate: where title sits, where details go, what backing field they need. Two font families max — one display face for the hook, one utilitarian face for details. If no clean 30% negative-space zone exists, reject and regenerate.

• G. Trust the critique gate.

  Stage 5 will fail candidates that break the rules. Let it. When the LLM says "hallucinated glyphs top-left, violates §1.1 — regenerating", that is the skill working as designed. Overriding the critique is how slop escapes.

• H. Keep the manifest.

  Stage 7 emits the exact model, prompt, size, and seed. Save it. When the client says "make it warmer" a week later, you regenerate from a known-good baseline instead of starting from zero.
